The Department may also consider product uses, or discharges or disposals, in any manner that have the potential to contribute to or cause adverse waste and end-of-life effects associated with the Candidate Chemical(s) in the product.” • § 69506.4. Use Restrictions on Chemicals and Consumer Products. The Department may impose restrictions on the use of one or more Chemicals of Concern or replacement Candidate Chemicals in a selected alternative, or Chemicals of Concern in a Priority Product for which an alternative is not selected, or restrictions on the use of the product itself, that the Department determines are necessary to reduce the potential for the product to contribute to or cause adverse impacts and/or adverse waste and end-of-life effects. 12
